1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, registering with, or using Rishta.UK, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, you should not use the platform.

2. Purpose of the Platform

Rishta.UK is a muslim community matrimonial introduction platform for individuals who are genuinely seeking marriage. It is not a dating, casual relationship, or social networking platform.

By registering, you confirm that you are using the platform with a genuine intention of finding a suitable marriage partner.

3. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years of age.

  • You must provide accurate, complete, and truthful information.

  • One account per person is permitted.

  • Fake profiles, impersonation, misleading information, fraudulent activity, or misuse of the platform are strictly prohibited.

4. Membership

All profiles are subject to review and approval.

Rishta.UK reserves the right to approve, reject, suspend, restrict, or remove any profile or account where it reasonably considers this necessary for safety, security, moderation, legal compliance, operational, reputational, or other legitimate business reasons.

5. Member Responsibilities

Members agree to:

  • Use the platform only for genuine matrimonial purposes.

  • Treat other members with courtesy and respect.

  • Keep their profile information accurate and up to date.

  • Comply with all applicable laws.

Members must not:

  • Harass, threaten, abuse, or intimidate others.

  • Provide false or misleading information.

  • Create fake or duplicate accounts.

  • Request money or engage in scams.

  • Advertise or promote products or services without permission.

  • Use the platform for dating, casual relationships, or any purpose other than seeking marriage.

6. Profiles & Privacy

  • Members are responsible for ensuring that their profile information remains accurate and up to date.

  • Personal contact details are not publicly displayed to other members.

  • Members should not include personal contact information or other sensitive information within their public profile where prohibited.

  • Rishta.UK may edit, suspend, or remove profiles that breach these Terms & Conditions.

7. Communication

Rishta.UK provides a platform to facilitate introductions and communication between members.

We do not guarantee that members will reply to messages, continue communication, meet, become engaged, marry, or achieve any particular outcome.

Members are solely responsible for their own communications, decisions, meetings, and relationships. Once members begin communicating, any discussions, agreements, misunderstandings, disputes, or decisions are entirely between the members and, where applicable, their families.

Members should only share personal information, including their phone number, email address, home address, workplace, or social media accounts, when they feel comfortable and have chosen to do so voluntarily. No member is under any obligation to share personal information or continue communication.

If you no longer wish to communicate with another member, you may stop responding, block private messages where this feature is available, or report the matter to Rishta.UK.

Members are expected to respect another person’s decision not to continue communication. Harassment, persistent unwanted contact, abusive behaviour, or attempts to bypass another member’s privacy or communication preferences may result in warnings, suspension, or permanent removal from the platform.

8. Fees & Paid Services

Certain services offered by Rishta.UK may be subject to payment. Any applicable fees will be clearly displayed before a purchase is made.

Except where required by applicable law, payments made for memberships, subscriptions, premium features, private messaging, profile promotion, advertising, business listings, events, or any other paid services are non-refundable once the relevant service has been provided or access has been granted.

A lack of response from another member, an unsuccessful introduction, incompatibility, or a decision by either member not to continue communication will not normally give rise to a refund.

Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights under the laws of England and Wales.

9. Safety

Members should exercise appropriate caution and carry out their own enquiries before sharing personal information, meeting another member, or entering into any agreement.

While Rishta.UK takes reasonable steps to maintain a safe and respectful platform, we do not verify every statement made by members and cannot guarantee the accuracy of profile information, identity, intentions, or conduct of any member.

10. Complaints & Reporting

If you believe another member has behaved inappropriately, provided false information, breached these Terms & Conditions, or caused concern for your safety, please report the matter to Rishta.UK.

We may investigate complaints and, where we reasonably consider it appropriate, issue warnings, restrict access, suspend, or permanently remove members from the platform.

Rishta.UK is under no obligation to mediate disputes or disagreements between members or their families.

11. Limitation of Liability

Rishta.UK acts solely as an introduction and communication platform.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rishta.UK shall not be responsible or liable for any disputes, misunderstandings, unsuccessful introductions, non-responses, relationship outcomes, family disagreements, financial loss, emotional distress, fraud, misrepresentation, or any other loss or damage arising from communications, meetings, or interactions between members or their families.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded under the laws of England and Wales.

12. Privacy

Rishta.UK processes personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection legislation.

13. Changes to the Service

Rishta.UK may update these Terms & Conditions, services, features, policies, or pricing from time to time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of any updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from the use of Rishta.UK shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
